Internet explorer even more faster -comshelper exclussive

Isn't it annoying when you want to go to a new website, or any other site but your homepage, and you have to wait for your 'home' to load? This tweak tells Internet Explorer to simply 'run', without loading any webpages. (If you use a 'blank' page, that is still a page, and slows access. Notice the 'about:blank' in the address bar. The blank html page must still be loaded..). To load IE with 'nothing' [nothing is different than blank]:

1. Right-click on any shortcut you have to IE
[You should create a shortcut out of your desktop IE icon, and delete the original icon]

Impact key:
Critical: Vulnerability can be used to run attacker code and install software, requiring no user interaction beyond normal browsing.
High: Vulnerability can be used to gather sensitive data from sites in other windows or inject data or code into those sites, requiring no more than normal browsing actions.
Moderate: Vulnerabilities that would otherwise be High or Critical except they only work in uncommon non-default configurations or require the user to perform complicated and/or unlikely steps.
Low: Minor security vulnerabilities such as Denial of Service attacks, minor data leaks, or spoofs.

Error loading websites

This article offers solutions to errors you may receive in Firefox or Mozilla Suite/SeaMonkey when attempting to connect to some or all websites. Error messages may include "The document contains no data" and "The connection was refused when attempting to contact..." or an error page may tell you that the server could not be found or that the connection has timed out.

If you can't get any website to load immediately after updating your browser, it is almost certainly your firewall or other security software blocking the connection.

How to fix Cisco VPN Client error 442 on Windows Vista???

Everyone has dealed with Cisco VPN Client on Vista probably knows the notorious Error 442 – Failed to enable virtual adapter. AFAIK this is a bug from Cisco that stays unfixed for at least 5 months (from the version 5.0.00.0340 released on May 2007 until now). Whether it is Cisco or Microsoft to point the finger at, i really don’t know.

So … you probably already tried this work-around suggestion from Cisco’s release notes:

Run cmd as Administrator and execute the following command:
reg add HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters /v ArpRetryCount /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

It just does not work ( at least every time i faced Error 442 ). What you should do is:

•Remove the client
•Activate the real Administrator account ( for detailed howto see this post )
•Restart, then log into the administrator account
•Install the file as normal ( right-click on it, choose “Run as Administrator”)
•After the installation finishes, restart again.
The client should work now. If not try to remove the Deterministic Network Enhancer protocol first, then reinstall VPN. Have patience, you will need to restart your computer sometimes.

Some people say the removal of Microsoft SQL do the trick (strange, erh ?), or simply turn on Media Sharing in the Network and Sharing Center. I haven’t tried this, so if it fixes your problem, then good for you.

If you could post your result here, then i am very appreciated

A corrupt Windows registry can be the source of many troublesome PC problems. The Windows registry is an integral part of a computer's operating system. fix error 80048820 on my msn messenger

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.messenger (More info?)

Greetings,
Since you can't immediately login, remember that you can try logging into the Web Messenger,

at least until you can restore your normal Messenger functionality:

http://webmessenger.msn.com

However, here are some suggestions you should check/try if you haven't already.

1. The date on your computer needs to be set properly -- double click the clock verify that

the time and date are set.

2. If your password information is not saved, verify that you are typing it in with the

correct case (uppercase or lowercase).

3. Change your password @ https://login.passport.com/ChangePW.srf to

something smaller (under 10-12 characters), then try signing in again.

4. If you use a firewall (like ZoneAlarm, Norton Internet Security etc. ), it's possible

that Messenger doesn't have the correct rights to access the Internet, especially since you

upgraded. You may need to re/add Messenger to the allowed list of programs in your firewall

if this is the case.

5. If you disabled your firewall in the past, it still may be blocking Messenger -- try

restarting it and see if that helps the situation. You also might try uninstalling an

installed firewall, to verify that it isn't causing a problem (even if it is disabled).

6. Clear your IE cache and cookies -- open Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, then

Internet Options, then click the Delete Files button, and when that's complete click the

Delete Cookies button.

7. Check your IE Security settings -- open Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, then

Internet Options, then Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section, and verify that "Check

for server certificate revocation" is unchecked. Also verify that 'Use SSL 2.0' and Use SSL

3.0' is checked, then click OK.

8. Click Start, then Run, and enter the following:

regsvr32 softpub.dll
then click OK
and do the same for the following:
regsvr32 wintrust.dll
regsvr32 initpki.dll
regsvr32 MSXML3.dll

Fix Generic Host For Win32 Process Error

My last post about Fixing Generic Host Error on your Windows was appreciated a lot not only in the blogosphere rather the whole Internet. I do not say this out of mere words rather if you search Google for "Fix Generic Host" you will find my blog at the top and most of my traffic from Google is due to this.

This error has been haunting most of Windows PCs from a long time and is really one dreadful bug. The problem in my last fix was that it would cure the Generic Host Error Message from appearing but it would close the connection to the network PCs.

Here are 4 new solutions to the Generic Host For Win32 Error in Windows:

Disabling Internet Explorer Script Errors

An Internet Explorer Script Error occurs when your web browser (Internet Explorer) experiences difficulties running a client-side script from a web site.
These scripts may be in JavaScript, JScript, or VisualBasic script.
In most cases, these errors are a result of something done by the web developer who implemented the script on the web page and there is nothing that you can do to resolve the error.

Disabling Internet Explorer Script Errors

Most of the time, Internet Exporer Script Errors are nuisances. If you are tired of seeing errors that are outside of your control, you can choose to disable these errors.
  • Open Internet Explorer
  • Open the menu
  • Select the &ltInternet Options> menu item
  • Open the tab
  • Check the box next to "Disable script debugging
  • Remove the check next to "Display a notification about every script error"
  • Click the button

Internet Erorr Messages

The following errors can be returned by Easy Access to the user, or to COM and HTTP applications.
ERROR: Socket Error # 10013

ERROR: Socket Error # 11004

The values can range from 10013 to 11004 and indicate a problem due to Internet connectivity issues.
The most common cause of a socket error is not being properly connected to the Internet. Easy Access will need to have outgoing access to Port 80, Port 443 and an existing Internet connection. A firewall prohibiting such access could also be generating the problem.
If you must go through a Proxy Server for access to the Internet these settings can be found in Setup Options.

400 Bad File Request
Usually means the syntax used in the URL is incorrect (e.g., uppercase letter should be lowercase letter; wrong punctuation marks).
401 Unauthorized Server is looking for some encryption key from the client and is not getting it. Also, wrong password may have been entered. Try it again, paying close attention to case sensitivity.
403 Forbidden/Access Denied Similar to 401; special permission needed to access the site -- a password and/or username if it is a registration issue. Other times you may not have the proper permissions set up on the server or the site's administrator just doesn't want you to be able to access the site.
404 File Not Found Server cannot find the file you requested. File has either been moved or deleted,

Speed up Mozilla FireFox 3-30x Faster

1. Type “about:config” into the address bar and hit return. Scroll

down and look for the following entries:
network.http.pipelining
network.http.proxy.pipelining
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time.
When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really
speeds up page loading.
