Disabling Internet Explorer Script Errors

An Internet Explorer Script Error occurs when your web browser (Internet Explorer) experiences difficulties running a client-side script from a web site.
These scripts may be in JavaScript, JScript, or VisualBasic script.
In most cases, these errors are a result of something done by the web developer who implemented the script on the web page and there is nothing that you can do to resolve the error.

Disabling Internet Explorer Script Errors

Most of the time, Internet Exporer Script Errors are nuisances. If you are tired of seeing errors that are outside of your control, you can choose to disable these errors.
  • Open Internet Explorer
  • Open the menu
  • Select the &ltInternet Options> menu item
  • Open the tab
  • Check the box next to "Disable script debugging
  • Remove the check next to "Display a notification about every script error"
  • Click the button

Repairable Causes of Internet Explorer Script Errors

In some cases, the error is something which you can change or repair on your PC. These issues include:
  • Java Applets, Active scripting , ActiveX controls are being blocked. This blocking can be the due to the configuration of Internet Explorer, an anti-virus programs, a PC firewall, or a network firewall.
  • Your anti-virus software is configured to scan your Downloaded Program Files or Temporary Internet Files folders.
  • The relevant scripting engine on your computer is corrupt or outdated.
  • Internet-related folders on your computer are corrupt.
  • Your video card drivers are corrupt or outdated.
  • DirectX is corrupt or outdated on your computer.
